Covenant of Love

Here is some sun from my hon!

We are celebrating 10 years of marriage today.

Tomorrow is actually our anniversary.

My husband brought me a big bunch of these sunflowers last week.

I love sunflowers, they are such a happy flower!

We have been reminiscing about when we met and how sweet it was

as well as talking about love.

Proverbs 10:12 says, " but love covers over all wrongs."

My prayer is that Jesus would help us to always

love each other as this Proverb says and the way He loves us.

Humility

We were in Maine for a short visit to my parent's and went to a friend of our family's farm.

This donkey is a Sicilian donkey....like one that Jesus rode in on at the "triumphant entry".

This to me speaks to the humility of Jesus.

On this farm there were also some beautiful horses.

Of course they looked so majestic and Jesus,

if he was concerned about his image,

could have chosen the most beautiful horse in the area.

But no, he chose a donkey.

An animal that gets the job done and doesn't complain.

He is described as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

He chose to ride in on a donkey.

I love that and love that my son knows this humble King of Kings.

The Shining Light

In this Friday before Father's Day I was thinking on the hard job of being a dad, a husband, a man in general and then my mind went to what Jesus did for us on the cross. A free gift of salvation and a way for us to be in relation with an all powerful God who tells us that His strength is made perfect in our weakness. (2 Chr. 12:9)

So, fall on the cross of Christ where all the work was finished and Jesus tells us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. (Matt. 11:29-30)
